Band to Watch: The Bewitched Hands On The Top Of Our Heads

July 12th, 2010 by Jamie D

This band is probably the coolest thing to come out of France in a looooonnngg time. These guys have already made quite a splash in 2010 after creating a good buzz after a couple of set at SXSW back in March (now allow me to slam my head into the wall for missing this group……..and we’re good) and they were just featured in Nylon magazines summer music issue. So while I may put up a lot of Bands to Watch or Artists to Watch, I must say these guys actually have a legitimate buzz. The best part though? Their music doesn’t suck, I mean like not at all.

If I had to compare it to some very recognizable group I guess I’d say Arcade Fire, but it’s still not as simple as that. Their single “Hard to Cry” will easily run by your ears without you taking much notice, that is if you decide to turn it off after the first minute. This song builds and build and builds and with each step up in the song, your interest in this group will rise ultimately resulting in me almost dropping my coffe and searching for a download link for the past 15 minutes. While I may not have a download link, I do have a link to a player the band set up to listen to their songs like “Hard to Cry” and “I’m in Slim” another great track. And for now that is enough to show you just how good this band really is.

The bands debut EP will drop July 26th, so circle the date.
