Sunday night Hollywood Bowl,

September 27th, 2011 by Giselle

Monday hangover. Well, it happened: Warpaint at the Hollywood Bowl, way too short and sweet, but worth the trip. A set list consisting of “Warpaint,” “Bees,” “Undertow,” “Elephants,” done. One of the best parts being that they played their way off the stage in a round; trippy, surprising, very fun, everyone loved it—moody + ’70s. They should have let them round come back full circle so they could play more songs.

At least I got to chat with a couple of the members afterward, see above (Theresa Wayman on the left, Emily Kokal on the right); if my being-in-all-girl-band dream ever came true, I would want to be in Warpaint—love their style, their sound, their songs. If this is as close as I will ever get, I will take it. But I’m still open to being in the band. Call me! Haha
