Don’t talk about it, be about it

Imaginary Frend was founded by Giselle Zado Wasfie in 2008. Giselle has written for publications from the Los Angeles Times to BlackBook, VIBE to Vice and many more. She was also an editor at Glamour, SOHH.Com & URB magazine. In 2005, St. Martin’s Press published her first novel, the love-n-hip-hop tale So Fly (see: Amazon) which grew into a one-time creative partnership with the mighty Chuck D (yes, of Public Enemy) and her dreams were realized.

Giselle is working on second novel, Reality High, which takes place at a prep school outside Detroit, Michigan. It’s pretty much taking her forever to write, don’t hold your breath. In the meantime, Giselle went back to grad school for four years to become an acupuncturist, herbalist and budding aromatherapist. She’s also a regular contributor to DailyCandy.
