Check out the official video for N.A.S.A.’s take on Bob Marley’s “I Shot The Sheriff,” featuring vocals by the awesome Karen O (watch above).

And here’s another favorite (almost recent) Karen O. performance below (just cos I love it), singing (with Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend) the Oscar-nominated “Moon Song” from the sublime film Her—so beautiful.

Music trivia sidebar: Did you know Spike Jonze (aka Adam Spiegel), who directed/wrote Her, is brother of N.A.S.A.’s DJ/producer “Squeak E. Clean,” aka Sam Spiegel? They are descendants of the Spiegel family, of fashion catalog fame. Now you know!

Wonder what Sufjan Stevens has been working on lately? Besides busying himself with his side project Sisyphus (photo above, listen here), he’s teamed up with choreographer Justin Peck to score a new ballet. They’ve previously worked together on Year Of The Rabbit.

The new ballet, called Everywhere We Go, has a gala opening night on May 8 at New York City Ballet and features a nine-movement orchestral score. Additional performances will be May 22, 29, 31, matinee and evening. Watch a sublime preview below.

Lollapalooza 2014 Lineup Rumors

March 19th, 2014 by Giselle
Respond

Rumors are ripening about the lineup for Lolla 2014…What say you to Eminem, Skrillex, Kings of Leon and Arctic Monkeys? Well, I saw Em play Lolla back in 2011 (check out my review here) and was sadly disappointed (compared to seeing him live previously), but I would be willing to give him a second chance so I am crossing my fingers we get that chance this summer; maybe RiRi will show up?

P.S., Hope Atmosphere plays again, too. Check out the video for their new single “Bitter” below:
